On Monday the 4th April, the SBCRA coordinated a public rally to raise awareness within the wider community of issues presented within the rezoned Mowbray Precinct.

The rally was attended by The Mayor of Lane Cove, Win Gaffney, David Shoebridge, MP from the Greens Party, local Councillors, Ron Gornall, President of the Lane Cove Bushland & Conservation Society and concerned members of the community.

The rally was addressed by David Shoebridge MP,  Lane Cove’s Mayor Win Gaffney, Ron Garnell from Lane Cove’s Bushland and Conservation Society and SBCRA President Frances Vissel.

Concerns were raised about the inappropriateness of the high density zoning of the Mowbray Precinct and the impacts of the high density development on our bushland, our resident safety, our streets and our community.

We thank all those who attended in support of our cause and those who helped organise the event.

And remember if you would like to get in touch to support this most important of issues which affects not just residents and bushland within the rezoned area, but also residents, schools and traffic in neighbouring areas and suburbs, please email us!
