30 years bushcare celebrations

Nearly 50 people of all ages including the newly elected Lane Cove West Ward Councillors – Scott Bennison, Rochelle Flood and Katie Little, joined us on a beautiful morning on Saturday 26 October to celebrate 30 years of SBCRA Bushcare and help weed and plant in the Batten Reserve just behind Mindarie Park.

Highlight of the morning was sharing morning tea and acknowledging the amazing work of the Bushcare volunteers including founding member and former SBCRA President Frances Vissel. The group also took a walk through the Batten Reserve bushland to sites where this industrious group have weeded and re-generated the bushland over the last 30 years. What an incredible improvement this volunteer group has made!
